Dr. Chetphilin Suriyasak is an Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Bioresource and Bioenvironmental Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, Kyushu University. Her work connects fundamental and applied plant science, with a special interest in how epigenetic regulation shapes plant resilience and enables new directions in crop innovation.
Originally from Chiang Mai, Dr. Suriyasak completed both her undergraduate and graduate training in Japan and has since built her academic career there. In this session, she’ll share not only her research, but also candid insights from her journey—what it’s like to study, work, and grow as a scientist in Japan—along with practical tips on scholarships, research opportunities, and how to get started.
