Congratulations to all award recipients!

The Mini Symposium on Chemical and Biosensor Applications in Tropical Diseases and Agriculture was successfully organized by the Department of Botany and the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University, on Saturday, 7 March 2026, in celebration of the 109th Anniversary of the Faculty of Science and the 70th Anniversary of the Department of Botany.The event featured distinguished biosensor researchers from Thailand and Japan, including Professor Dr. Eiichi Tamiya from the University of Osaka.Faculty members, graduate students, and undergraduate students from the Department of Botany participated in the symposium and proudly received several awards:  Best Poster Award Tanit Kamtasalee“Colorimetric

The Professor Kasin Suvatabandhu Herbarium — highlighting its value for both scientific research and forensic investigations.

The Straits Times (Singapore) recently featured the Professor Kasin Suvatabandhu Herbarium, Department of Botany, Chulalongkorn University — highlighting its value for both scientific research and forensic investigations. Herbarium serves as a repository of preserved plant specimens, functioning as an invaluable reference for biodiversity studies. Beyond its role as a historical scientific archive, the herbarium contributes to multiple fields of knowledge, including Pharmacology (medicinal and food plants), Ecology and Environmental science (invasive species research), and Forensics & law (plant evidence in criminal investigations).
